I don’t understand the words
Of the philosophers, and, a fortiori,
Their sentences. I read that I’m
A robot – but don’t feel like one.
How would I know if I am
Or not? Or how a robot feels?
They say I need a cache of concepts in my brain
To read the objects I perceive, and each for each --
But if that’s true I lack the pearl to comprehend
Their speech.
